The city of Sharjah has earned a reputation as being the UAE’s cultural capital. The way the city’s historic landmarks have been preserved has earned much admiration. Sharjah is just a 30-minute drive from the glamour and glitter of Dubai—an escape to a much more homely and quaint place that charms you with its rich tradition and history. Sharjah was in fact chosen by UNESCO as the Arab Capital of Culture in the year 1998. Come, and join us as we take you on a tour of this delightful hub of Arabian culture from Dubai.

When we get close to Sharjah and start entering the city, you’ll be passing through traditional Arabian markets, the souks buzzing with activity. Apart from these markets, you’ll come across various heritage sites and interesting museums. We’ll make a stop at the large and majestic King Faisal Mosque, the largest mosque in the UAE while passing through the breathtaking Sharjah Corniche. When we visit the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization, its seven galleries give you a peek into the religion of Islam and the art and culture Islam has gifted humanity with. Explore the Souk Al Markazi the Blue Souk where you can pick exotic jewelry pieces.

We follow this up with a visit to the Qanat Al Qasba, forever buzzing with life. There’s a one-kilometer long canal here with a large Ferris wheel, the Eye of the Emirates that gives you a panoramic view of the bustling city.  You’ll be thrilled to see how fresh the fish are at the busy fish market. Take in exotic views of a sculpture depicting the Holy Quran while enjoying a drive through the Sharjah Cultural Square. Your visit to the cultural hub of Sharjah draws to an end with us dropping you back at your location in Dubai.
