What the experience includes

  • There are a variety of skating sessions to choose from, all of the super exciting
  • The DJ nights every Thursday and Friday nights starting at 18:15 have the place throbbing with live music and club anthem. You’ll just love shaking a leg!
  • Freestyle sessions are meant for experts to hone their skills and improve on their jumps, spins, and footwork while playing their music routine. You’ll need to schedule a session with a coach outside business hours
  • The Skating Academy offers training classes based on the skill level and age group of the participant. The sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 16:15 pm and every Friday and Saturday morning from 10:15 am
  • There are open day tickets available so you don’t need to worry about convenient time slots not being available

Things to note

  • Children between 0 and 2 are not allowed to participate as are pregnant women
  • We advise those with pain in their back, neck, joints, or other muscular aches to avoid this activity
  • You may choose any one of the six sessions for 90 minutes each
  • You are required to collect your Dubai Ice Rink tickets from the ticket counter
  • You may also furnish a mobile voucher which you’ll have to redeem for your entry ticket
  • Participants are barred from carrying any sharp objects
  • You are to avoid consuming heavy food or any alcohol before this activity
  • You’ll be charged at actual for any breakage or damage
  • There are no concessions on ticket prices based on age
  • It’s ideal to learn skating from 3 years of age. Children less than 100cm in height need to be accompanied by an adult all along and they are provided a complimentary helmet for safety
  • Please come in winter clothing and make sure to cover your arms and legs
  • The peak hours start from 2:30 pm onwards and the off-peak hours are from 10 am to 2 pm

How should you reach the Dubai Ice Rink?

  • By Metro and bus: Get off at the Burj Khalifa or the Dubai Mall Station. After walking to the main road, you can take the feeder bus from the station to the Dubai Mall which has services every 15 minutes
  • By metro and walking: After getting off at either of the stations mentioned above, walk to the Dubai Mall after taking the air-conditioned Metro Link Bridge. It takes 15 minutes
  • By shared transfer: We pick you up from your centrally located accommodation or residence if you choose the shared transfer option

  • What’s the minimum height for skating?
    Please make sure that children under 100cm in height are accompanied by an adult. It’s important that they wear all safety gear provided.
  • Are skating aids available?
    Yes, we provide skating aids for both adults and children. You should choose the skating aid depending on your height. There are three types of skating aids we provide—penguin, seal, or snowman.
  • Do we provide ice skates?
    Yes, ice skates are included in the entry fee itself. Premium VIP hockey or figure skates are available for more accomplished skaters at an additional charge.
  • Are lockers available?
    Yes, there are lockers for you to put your personal belongings in. We suggest that you don’t carry too many items, especially mobile phones and other items that fit into your pocket.
  • Do spectators need to pay?
    One complimentary spectator is allowed for each member in a group. A spectator ticket of AED 10 per person will have to be bought for any additional spectator.
  • Are skating shoes for my size available?
    There’s a wide range of sizes available, right from EU25 to EU52.
  • What’s the dress code?
    Please come in clothes appropriate for the winters since the temperatures inside the rink average -5°C. Long dresses or trailing clothing are not allowed. We offer gloves at AED 10 per pair.
